Following my visit to Saules between 30th May and 6th June 2009, I have sent some of my pictures for the blog.
We had a great week, I personally caught 20 fish, 10 at 20lb plus, 7 at 30lb plus and a 52lb 6oz Mirror which Pascale told us was the lake record.

We had a Great week on the Great Lake.

I had mirrors of 42-8oz,40-4oz, 39lb, 35lb, 32-6oz, 30-11oz,28lb, 23-oz .

Stevie Dack had two mirrors to 37-12oz which was an absolute stunner.

Considering it was so hot and we caught nothing for three days it was a good result.

A big thanks from me and Stevie Dack and thanks to Pascal for being an excellent host."

It was very warm this week so the fish was not very active.

We have caught 35 fish

Many fish were caught in shallow water.

After last week, fish were not having it at all. For 5 days only 3 runs.
Water still droping making it hard work to land fish on Pete bank : only way to land is to wade in.
Some fish spawning.
Not the Boux we visited 3 years ago.
Also ground very unlevel not good to walk on.

Office note : as explained, the lake was drained in the winter and netted : all the bigger fish have been put back in the lake of course but the fish under 10lb has been stocked in a different place for growing. Some work has been done so as to improve the bank. Unfortunatly the rain was not sufficient this year and the water level is lower than it should.
