Feedback from Steven Wadsworth fishing Traque on 12/09/2009

Double

44 - 08 lb

34-04 lb

Hi Sandrine,

Just returned from Traque (12th – 19th September).

As usual we were very well looked after by Pascale. I don’t think we could ever find a better fishery owner.

Regarding the fishing, this was a bit patchy. The 2 anglers in the ‘end’ swims did well but the 2 of us in the middle struggled. In addition, the 2 in the middle had a real problem with Coypu.

Have attached a sample of photographs for you.

Regards

Steven

Sandrine's reply : Many thanks for your feedback, Steven. The coipyu will be trapped and poisoned. I know there are a nuisance. We will do our best to solve this problem.

Domaine de Boux catch report from David Scott fishing from 12/09 to 19/09/09

"Simon & Sandrine

Trust you are both well.

Its been a few days since we returned from Boux but I wanted to drop you a quick mail to say the venue was still up to the same excellent standard in terms of the facilities and Philippe's own approach to owner / bailiff duties which suites our preferred style of fishery. Please pass on our thanks. Sorry, we didn't get to complete the book as the next group turned up quite early & threw us slightly !

Yes the waters down which makes the wooded bank slightly more challenging but not to any great extent that should effect peoples overall enjoyment. The crays were slightly unexpected as we haven't experienced them in Boux before but even they weren't any great problem. As were several 4oz carp taken on double boilies ! (still we always though Matt was a better match angler than carp fisherman)

Fish wise they were definitely in numbers off the right hand side of the dam wall evenly spread from 11ft in light silt all the way up to the margin in less than 2ft of water. All areas produced. I suspect that was due to the new wind which picked up during the early part of the week. As the week progressed and this switched towards Summer Point they started to spread out more making it slightly more even fishing.
Numbers wise between the four of us we ended up with 76 carp (no grassies ?), 4 x 40's, 23 x 30's, 39 x 20's and 10 high doubles. No 50's this time !!

Fish fell fairly evenly to tigers and Mainline Grange Red boilies fished over hemp & modest amounts of pellet.

I'm in the process of collating some pictures so I'll send them over shortly.

I'm guessing its going to a cracking water when the waters up & you can benefit from the works completed on the wooded bank, we'll just have to go back (yet again!)

Thanks again for delivering a superb fishery in stunning surroundings which benefits from fantastically friendly locals.

I'll get the photos over shortly.

Kind regards

Dave Scott."

Thank you to David Scott for his feedback. We really look forward to receive his photos.
