  1. Hi Pascale!

I caught this very same fish from the shallows in May 08. It weighed 27lb 12oz :)

What did it weigh last month?

  4. Hi Andy,
The Great Lake fish are not the fastest growing carp on this planet but in my opinion they still remain the most beautiful. 2.5kg growth per annum is still outstanding given that this equates to an individual scale expansion of 5mm in diametre ! If anything and more importantly this growth of scaly beasts and their survival is a sign that the lake is ecologically balanced and promotes the well being of the carp present.
If you need any info on the history of fish present there and our management approach with the Briallart family so as to ensure the survival of such rare and exceptional fish, I will gladly respond. In my mind no other water open to guests than Great Lake can sustain comparison. I'm proper hooked on it and given the time I cannot think of any better stamp of carp that I would ever wish to catch despite carp fishing for now 30 years and an indecent number of "venues" experienced. At The Great Lake, you know why you wake up with a sense of anticipation wether it happens or not, the fishing is a buzz in itself rather than a challenge to achieve...
