The weather was extremely hot (30 degrees+) apart from 1 day, most fish coming between 0000hrs - 0700hrs.
Once again looked after very well by the gorgeous Pascale."

Total fish -  147         
Carp  -  125 including  30 x 30's to 39.12 (mirror)  (plus 2 x 39 commons) and 1 x 40.7 common                   
Cats  - 22 to 56.12 (albino)

Good venue with fish spread evenly, they had just about finished spawning so plenty of small hungry males but I think the big girls had either not yet finished spawning or were being pushed out. But all in all a good week with many pbs broken.

The one complaint we had was that the water when showering smelt stagnant so therefore was not a pleasant experience.

HML comment : We are sorry for the water. The water comes from a borehole completly rebuilt a year ago. However, we experience a big drought in France, and this probably explains the fact the water is not as usual.

"Hi,

Had a fantastic week at Traque. We had 44 fish including :

•  2 x50s to 57 .04   
• 10 x40s to 49.11  
• 12 x30s rest 20s with 2 doubles ,
• also had a 18 lb pike .

I personally had 22 fish including the 2 x 50s mainly using 1 rod most of the week. It was my first time at Goncourt and thought the complex was fantastic and Pascale what can I say, never met anyone who cares about her customers or fishery as much a truly lovely lady."

Had a great week on le botte again  between the 3 of us we had 170 fish biggest carp to Geoff (69 years young) biggest cats albino 54. Wels 64. Biggest common 38.

The Great Lake : Bart Van Der Hurk fishing 14/05/2011

Bart van den Hurk, Proline manager, visited the Great Lake from the14 until the 21 May 2011, and not without success! 
He caught seven fish there this session: 17.2kg / 17kg / 16.2kg / 15.8kg / 13.4kg / 11.5kg / 11.5kg.

The catch report for Saules. . 14th - 21st May .
Alex : 18 fish - 10 x 20+lbs , 8 x 30+lbs , new PB for both Mirror(39lb 8oz) and Common (31lb 4oz).
Robert : 16 fish - 6 x 20+lbs , 7 x 30+lbs , 2 x 40+lbs and PB Mirror 56lb 4oz.
Wayne : 16 fish - 1x17lbs , 5x20+lbs , 8 x 30+lbs , 2 x 40+lbs .
Geoff : 8 fish - 2x20+lbs , 3x30+lbs , 2x40+lbs , 1xPB and lake record Common (58lbs 4oz).
A good week very hot at times, most fish out between midnight and 10am , maize worked well . Fish came from all over the lake. Dead mans bay produced the bigger fish and the Lake record came from the first bay swim 1 

A fantastic week on a fantastic lake ... "

Tony and Craig caught 32 fish. The biggest one was a38lb
Erik had 7 fish. The biggest one was a 49lb common
Martin Faulkner caught 29 fish including catfish to 62lb, sturgeon to 55lb, mirror to 35lb, common to 39lb, grass to 42lb
Tony had 25 fish with cats up to 55lb, mirror up to 44lb, common up to 37lb, and grass carp up to 42lb

Domaine de Boux : Peter Chmiel team fishing on 17/04/2011

"Hi Sandrine

Just to let you know we had at great week at Boux  ( wk commencing 17th April) .
Between the two of us we had 64 carp of which 8 where 40+ and 25 good 30s.
Notable fish were  Blind Eye for me at 48lb 12oz  and 3 other mirrors over 40 at 44.0 ,43.12 , and 41.10 with 4 commons over 37lb.
Andy managed 2 commons over 40lb best went 42lb , a 44lb mirror and a grass carp at a huge 48lb 8oz all backed up with lots of 30s. 
When packing up on the Saturday I even managed mirrors of 39 and 41lb with the rods on the ground!

Domaine de Boux : Paddy Ramsden team fishing on 07/05/2011

"Hi Sandrine

Just got back from our De Boux trip for 2011.  Below is a report and some feedback for you:

Very difficult fishing for 4.5 days – no fish seen, no fish caught – which I presume is very rare?  On our 5th night the carp started feeding and we caught well for the next 2.5 days:

7 x 40’s
19 x 30’s
5 x 20’s

The only complaint we have from the venue is the trees on woods bank are now very restrictive for casting and playing fish.  The three lads who were on our trip do not believe in using bait boats etc, therefore rely on casting to fish.  This proved almost impossible from most of the woods bank as the overhanging trees caught the ‘end tackle’ on the cast.  Added to this, once a fish was hooked we had to crouch or kneel to play the fish to us.  This certainly restricted where in the lake we could effectively fish to and eventually forced us to fish the Dam wall.

However, we tried to not let this spoil our trip.

Many thanks for your feedback. I have informed the lake bailiff about the situation concerning the growing of trees. He told me it would be solved before this summer.

I have now got all the information for the catch report. We had the lake booked exclusively for 8 people and agreed in advance that we would only allow a certain number of swims on each bank. In that way we made sure we were spread out around the whole lake. The catch report is as follows:

Total number of fish caught                   =          147

Largest -          Mirror Carp                 =          45lb

                        Common Carp             =          45lb

                        Catfish                          =          62lb

                        Sturgeon                       =          57lb

Every one of us had a PB of some sort. In summary, a great week enjoyed by all.

"Hi Sandrine

 

Sorry we haven't been in touch sooner but just letting you know how we got on this last trip to La Botte.  Well not as good as my November trip but not far behind - 32 fish with a total weight of 1058lb - what another great week.   The weather was great, the hosting perfect and the fishing wonderful!!!

 

It was smashing to see Pascale and Maxime once again.

 

I have atttached some photo's of the bigger fish these include a 56lb common, a 65lb cat, a 61lb cat, and a big mandarin cat at 53lb and plenty of sturgeon action as well.

 

It was definateley more a cat week for me than anything, but as I like cats it wasn't a problem, and as I had the big common it was great.  I broke 2 pb's (the 56lb common and the 65lb cat).

 

The anglers were spread out over the lake, and in the end, everyone had a great week and we were so glad that Stuart who was fishing in France for the first time had some great fish as well.

 

The haul included:

 

10x cats, 4 x sturgeon, 1x 56lb common carp, 3 x carp 30lb+, 9 carp x 20lb+, 3 carpx 15lb+ and 2 bream a 9lb and a 10lb

 

I will send the photo's in a few batches.

"Hi Sandrine

On Traque we had 24 fish between 5 of us. Weather was variable which affected the fishing. Successful baits were primarily C C Moore Oddysey and Engage.
2 x 49.14 Mirrors
41.7 Linnear (lovely fish)
41.4 Common
14 x 30's up to 39
Rest 20's or doubles. Photos unfortunately were dreadful. Swims 1 to 3 produced bulk of fish, only 3 fish  from other swims.

Already booked Botte for this September.

Etang de la Botte : Mr Van Der Jest and Martijn Dijks fishing from 16/04/11

On the 18/04/11, these both anglers had already caught 9 fish including a 48lb common,  and 3 x 30's up to 35lb

At the end of the week, they had caught 22 fish in total. The biggest was the 48lbcommon, 6 x 30's up to 39lb,  the smallest was 22lb.
"Too many people on the lake, excellent service."

HML comment : This is a 16 + hectares lake on which we greet 12 anglers max for an individual booking. Only 10 anglers were booked this week. Before, we had the management of this lake, the previous bailiff accepted up to 20 anglers. More than an hectare of water is available for each angler.
