- 2 anglers William dietrich had already caught 16 carp biggest 38lb lots of 28lb

- 2 anglers Harry pos and Patrick roselaar has already caught 19 carp after a slow day. Biggest 34lb9 now after a slow day. They caught another 15+ kilo.

- 3 anglers caught 3 x 38lb common, 1 x 36lb common, 1x34lb5 mirror, 1 x34lb common, 1x 37lb mirror, 2 x 28lb mirror, 1 x 26lb mirror, 1 x 20lb common, 1 x 16lb common, 1 x 30lb common, 2 doubles, a few grass carps, 2 big grass carp 1 meter 04

The Great Lake and Etang de la Botte fishing from 22/03/12:

On both lakes, the fishing is still slow as the water temperature is still low. These bigger lakes need more time to warm up. 

On Etang de la Botte, a first group of 2 anglers caught Ricky the sturgeon. The second group of 2 anglers caught 2 carp and Ricky twice.

Lake

The north lake is a little over 5 acres in size and has a number of underwater features to fish too. We have 3 single and 2 double purpose built pegs around the lake and there are also many areas of bank that are accessible to fish from, enabling anglers always have the option to move if required.

The winter of 2011/2012 has seen some major transformations in the shape of nettings and fish stocks and consequently we are now selling this lake as an out and out big fish water. Following the results of the weight gains the fish have achieved over the last year we have determined that the north lake has the potential to grow very big fish and we have now structured the lake to maximise this potential. Over the last season we have seen numerous fish put on up to and over 10lbs in one year and with this in mind we have reduced the stocking levels in the lake and removed a lot of the nuisance species in order to maximise the carp’s growth.

Fish

There are now somewhere in the region of 100 carp in the north lake with 3 of these being 50lb+ up to 52 ½lb,  we have twenty 40lb + fish with over half of these being upper 40s and the rest of the stock is made up from 30lb + fish with very few below that. We have structured a feeding programme for 2012 and by going off the weight gains this year then next year’s weight predictions will put us well into the 60s with as many as ten 50lb+ fish which is outstanding for any fishery and will set Eden’s out as a top competitor in French carp fishing destinations.

The great thing about the North Lake is that at just over 5 acres you are never far away from a fish of a lifetime.
