2 anglers

4 x 40s

5 x 30s
7 x 20s

Tough week first few days due to whole lake covered in floating weed. It cleared mid week and we had 16 fish. Then they started spawning. Unlucky week week after 74 fish last year.

All fish apart from 1 tight to far bank opp summer point in 4 -6 ft. Tried everywhere. Didn't even see a fish dam end.

Repaired boat ;seat kept falling off and 1 oar was a nuisance sliping out. Tied it up.

Good luck you possibly have a bonanza if they finish spawning.

Book now for 2011 to avoid any disappointment

Dear angler,

The bookings are now open for the 2011 season. As you may see on both our blog  and facebook www.facebook.com/Sandrine.Hortonfishing that so far this season fishing results are awesome and creating an immense interest in the whole carp fishing community.

If you have not already shared your fishing experience with us whether good or bad on those public interfaces and communities we invite you to do so and please include some pictures.

We would like to inform you in priority that some dates are likely to be booked up very quickly and if you have any date of your preferred choice or imposed work holiday date we would recommend that you secure it as quickly as possible. Should you have any current financial challenges you may discuss those with me so as to spread out payments rather than miss out on the fishing.

As usual you may email me infos@hortonfishing.com or hortonfishing@orange.fr, or text me on 0033 679 409252.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information.

Many thanks for your trust.

Sandrine

Article from Vopi : Graviere de la Traque week 22/05 to 29/05/10

Trouble with my mobile
But now it works fine. Time for a little update, i know... Our party, same as all the years, 3 from switzerland one italien and me & britta had quite a few fish, must be round about 15 together. 3 of them over 20kg, one under 15kg, the rest between 17kg and 19kg+. Me and britta are in peg long haul, this area is overloaded with carps, hundreds! And they are spawning! A lot of weed to the left hand, the whole margin where the fish is sponing cost me some carps, maybe because of barbless hooks. 3 fish came out for me during sponing, one from 14kg and two 18kg+ and a grass carp. Hopefully they end with spawning and turn into feeding.

Heavy Thunderstone
...last night! And the night before no sleep. Lost a few ones, no rods in since yesterday. But we could manage 10 carps from 12kg up to 21kg! Including 3 amur up to 20kg which jumped 4!! Times out of the net, terrible fish. We did'nt take pictures and put these sensible fish asap. Weather changed, cloudy, little bit rain and some degrees colder. The fish stopped spawning. Rods are out now again, see what happens the next hours, days...

Very slow
After the weather has changed and with strong wind, no bleep during the day. In the morning two of my friends had 3 fish. In my peg, long haul 1, i could see many fish just very slow cruising or still standing in the weed at the margins. Britta and me are now in the farest corner, little bit stalking. We saw each day carps in there, realy big lumps and a big big orange koi. Its raining, cold, muddy, sitting under an 15y old leaking aqua brolly, but we are fishing...

Hard work for nothing...
...but thats fishing, you never know. After 5 hours until one o'clock in the night and 5 hours this morning from 5 to 10 stalking the far end of long haul with lots of rain and wind and fuck and shit and ants and everything the result was....i was completly wet and tired, perfect, hard work for nothing. If i think about it now, completly dried since 5 minutes, i asked myself if it is the hot sun or my age which makes me crazy to do such things instead of golfing, surfing or whatever. But who knows, maybe i have to do it and thats fishing, you never know! A fact is, that all (ok, most of them) fish moved to the other end of the lake, so that my friends started to catch. And thats fine, so everyone will catch fish at la traque, realy social. The weather now is a much calmer than this morning, and who knows, maybe there is one big lump left in long hauls area;-) never give up...

Muddy Banks, only trainig...
Low temperature and lots of rain with strong wind from north seems to made my swim empty. At the other end of the lake my mates could bank good fish. I had a few bleeps last night ( no not me, my delks), but only from the lake cleaning patrol, a team of these black/white scuba diving fuc.... Chicks. Realy professionels in diving, also in the dark. But not to forget how to do it, i'lk do some training in the morning. Last day and night is broken... Cross fingers!

New session record !
One of my friends from switzerland starts the session in the first night with a nice 22,5kg mirror. But this session record was broken today from another swiss mate, peter. He had broken his own pb now for the third time this week! He starts with a pb from 18kg, then a new pb from just over 20kg and today a realy nice fat mirror for him, pb broken again, take a seat.......25,2 kg, bingo !! The rest of us at the north had good fish up to 18kg. Me and my italien friend at long haul one and two had only two smaller fish. The weather changed again, rain and coldness in the morning, at midday the wind changed and it is sunny, so maybe sone lumps come back from the north end to mum and dad in the south, fingers crossed. But if not we had a beautyful week at la traque and with the circumstances of spawning and dramatically change of weather, we had quite a lot of fish and big ones! So nothing could get wrong for the last hours. And one thing is fact, we will be back again soon! And of course, because of the homemade lovely pie from pascal, big big thanks to her for the service and everything!

Time to leave little paradise !
And i do not know if i'm happy or not. Maybe not because i could spend two weeks more, no month more at this complex. Would be great, every week a fresh homemade pie from pascal:-) thanks again for everything! the last night was cold and slow, three fish in total, biggest 17kg. But as i wrote before for such unlucky circumstances we did a good job with nearly 60 fish together and big ones! Don't wanna think about it when all plays for you and you know how to do it, i promise that it is possible to catch over 100 carps. So the complex has two regulars more for two times per year, britta and me, definately! But there is one thing that's horrible on the lake we fished and i really didn't like it!! And that is maybe you?! I found a lot of braided mainline under and in the trees at the margins, we caught 4 carps with a hooklink from maybe 80lbs and barbed hooks! Also two of them with one meter of finest thick leadcore leader, that's shit son's, big shit! Be fair to the fish, to the complex and to pascal! Use your brain, not braid to catch carp! Last but not least, like everytime, sorry for my bad german school english and i wish you only the most and big ones!
